These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of https://www.betterops.co (the "Site"), operated by BetterOps LLC ("BetterOps", "we", "us"). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you don't, please don't use the Site.

Who we are

BetterOps is a technology operations and operational-readiness partner for registered investment advisers (RIAs) and wealth management firms. The Site is informational and marketing material; it is not a contract for services. Engagements are governed by a separately signed Master Services Agreement (MSA) or Statement of Work (SOW).

Use of the Site

You may use the Site for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer or attempt to circumvent the security of the Site.
• Scrape, harvest, or use automated tools to extract content beyond what publicly indexable search engines do.
• Submit false or misleading information through any form on the Site.
• Use the Site to send unsolicited communications or to attempt phishing.

Content and intellectual property

All content on the Site - articles, glossary entries, comparison pages, branding, logos - is owned by BetterOps or our licensors. You may quote short passages with attribution and a link back to the source page on this Site. You may not republish substantial content without our written permission.

No regulatory, legal, or investment advice

Content on the Site, including any FAQs and descriptions of our methodology, is for general information only. BetterOps is not a law firm, an auditor, or a compliance consultancy. Nothing on the Site is legal advice, regulatory advice, tax advice, or investment advice, and we do not guarantee any regulatory outcome. Technology and operational risk are fact-specific; what is appropriate for one firm may not be appropriate for another. Do not act on Site content without consulting a qualified professional familiar with your firm.

Third-party links

We sometimes link to third-party sites - standards bodies, vendors, regulators, and news outlets. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or practices. A link is not an endorsement.

The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, BetterOps will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site. Our aggregate liability for direct damages relating to the Site is limited to USD $100. This Section does not limit liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Fairfield County, Connecticut.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date and, for substantial changes, a notice on the Site for at least 30 days. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the change.
